Seventh Generation
<<>>
Seventh Generation has applied to be recognized at the highest level by the EPA’s Safer Detergents Stewardship Initiative (SDSI).
Seventh Generation, is committed to using surfactants that are safer for you and your family, and safer for the environment. Surfactant is a word that comes from "surface active agents", and is a cleaning agent commonly used in laundry detergents, dish detergents, hard-surface cleaners, and other cleaners. The surfactants used in their cleaning products are chosen for their effectiveness and safety for human and environmental health. Their surfactants are not chronically toxic, and do not contain alkylphenolethoxylates (APEs), such as nonylphenolethoxylate (NPE), which have been found to cause human health problems such as endocrine disruption.
We use the Seventh Generation "baby" version of its detergent. It's not medicine so our thoughts is if its safe for the baby its equally safe for adults. This detergent works well for getting out those tough stains. Free of dyes & fragrances.
All bleaches used by Greener Laundry are chlorine free. Seventh Gerneration's color-safe bleach gets whites and colors their brightest without using chemicals containing chlorine. It's also free of dyes or fragrances.
Our natrual linen softner is by far the most effective, and eco-friendly. However; Seventh Generation offers an alternative method to softing your fabrics through its fabric softner. It's canola-based softener makes your laundry naturally fluffy, cuddly, and static-free.
